Outdoor First Aid
If you work outdoors you need a First Aid course more tailored to your environment than a regular Workplace First Aid course.
The main choices are the 1-day (8 hour) and 2-day (16 hour) Outdoor courses. Many NGBs require one of these two, with the 16-hour course being the definitive one for anything more than an entry level coach / leader. Check with your NGB before Booking.

1 day (8 hour) Outdoor First Aid
This course is for those working Outdoors close to roads and buildings. It is an entry level First Aid course and is aimed at keeping someone alive until the Emergency Services arrive.
When looking for a Training Organisation, look for one that is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning’s Accreditation or Alignment at Level 2 as it is written with input from many NGOs. 4 Minutes Training Ltd (the owner of this website) is aligned, for instance.
2 day (16 hour) Outdoor First Aid
This course is for those working Outdoors further away from roads and buildings. It builds on the 8 hour course, covering a lot more injuries and medical conditions aimed at keeping a patient alive / stable for longer periods (up to 2 hours) until the Emergency Services arrive.
When looking for a Training Organisation, look for one that is aligned with the Institute for Outdoor Learning’s Accreditation or Alignment at Level 3 as it is written with input from many NGOs. 4 Minutes Training Ltd (the owner of this website) is aligned, for instance.
